Clinics & Services
All GP Practices are contracted to provide “essential services”, that is, basic treatment of ill patients. We also provide the following “additional services”:
- Child Health Surveillance, together with the Health Visiting team
- Contraceptive Services (IUCD and Implants fitting & removal) are provided by appointment with Dr Stephens.
- Cervical smears
- Freezing of warts and other small skin lesions
We also hold contracts with GGNHSB for the following “enhanced services”:
- Minor surgery including injections and some small invasive procedures
- Regular monitoring, by blood and urine tests, for patients on a range of drugs for arthritis and bowel problems
- A methadone substitution programme for patients with drug abuse problems
- Annual comprehensive reviews for all patients with Heart Disease
- Annual comprehensive reviews for all patients with a history of Stroke/TIA
- Annual comprehensive reviews for all patients with Diabetes – this also includes appointments with the Dietitian and Podiatrist
The following Clinics/Services are available within the Practice:
- Diabetic – Dr Irving/Practice Nurse (by appointment – see GP in 1st instance).
- Child Health Surveillance/Post Natal – Dr Irving/Dr Stephens on Monday or Thursday afternoons (these appointments will be arranged via the Health Visitor)
- Warts – Dr Ewart at routine appointment.
- Minor Operations - (by appointment – see GP in 1st instance).

The above services are now no longer routinely provided by GP practices. All services are usually provided at the following locations in North West Glasgow:

If you have been advised you need to have blood taken, please phone the ‘single point of contact’ number below to arrange an appointment. You will need to provide them with your CHI number when booking an appointment (the surgery can advise you what that is if you are unsure):

There may be a delay in getting through however most people are appointed within a day or so.
TREATMENT ROOM
If you require to appoint for wound care, dressings or an injection, you will be asked to contact the venue of your choice on the numbers in the box above. Please contact our practice nurse for guidance in the first instance to ensure that you will be able to provide the treatment room with all relevant information.
EAR CARE
You can self refer for ear care if you have concerns about wax build up. Contact any of the numbers in the box above to arrange an appointment for assessment & treatment as necessary. Unfortunately, the surgery no longer has the equipment to deal with ear irrigation.
